Spirit Reservoir Recreation

The nearest population center is the city of Tomahawk (pop. 3,562). Primary highways leading to the reservoir are U.S. 51 from the north and south and Wisconsin 86 and County O from the east and west.

The majority of the lands adjoining the reservoir's east half are in private ownership. WVIC owns the majority of the shoreline on the west half of the reservoir. Exceptions include some institutional and county forest land on the west end.
